I’m very proud of this original and unique active wear brand because I had the chance to be involved in this project since day-one, pretty much since its genesis. Port De Bras’s owner hired me as Main Designer and I juggled between my full day job and my free time to create the concepts and designs, to select the fabrics, colors and textures of each style, and to DEVELOP every SAMPLE of the collection.
The main idea behind the launching of the first collection of Port De Bras was to capitalize on the growing trend of Barre followers. Additionally, it focused on creating an emotional connection between women that practiced ballet as a child, by bringing back all those memories and nostalgia of beauty and romanticism; making them look girly, feminine but at the same time beautiful and trendsetter.
After many changes on the development process, Clarissa, the Port De Bras owner; decided to produce the sale’s samples in Caracas, Venezuela as well as to take advantage of this opportunity and execute the photoshoot for the collection in my beautiful country.
